I've used Clearblue OPK for the past two months. I test once per day. I start on day seven and test for seven days (I am on a 24 day cycle). There has only been one time that there has been any hint of an LH line, and it was very faint. On every other test there is no line at all, just the control line. Shouldn't I be getting some sort of line, even if it's not my surge?

Has anyone else had this experience? I am going to see the fertility doc in two months, so I suppose I'll know for sure then, just frustrated in the meantime. I am considering not using them anymore, the experience only depresses me.

There's a few possibilities here:
1) You're not ovulating 2) You are missing your surge 3) You are one of those women who don't test positive with OPKs. If the answer is you keep missing your surge the solution to that is to test twice a day... once around 11am and then again around 4pm. Between the two, you should catch it.

What I would strongly suggest is that you start charting your basal body temperatures. Charting your BBTs is the only way to know for sure you ovulate and when. Your charts will also give your doctor some valuable info about your cycles and hormones, so if you do it, bring your charts with you.

Fertility Friend has a great charting program and it's free.

Good luck.
