Why not a lifetimes membership of an organisation of your choice. E.g. National Trust. You may have to invest some extra cash, depending on age, but will gain a lifetime of memories, and it will pay for itself in the end.

Safe - premium bonds (a gamble but you can get your money back). The best-rate savings account you can find while you think... A cash ISA, but you will need to leave it in there for a year.
Pleasing - buy something that you that you can keep that you might not be able to afford otherwise
eg a painting, piece of jewellery, anything that pleases your eye and you can keep.

if u ain't desperate for money put it away in a bank 4get bout it and its there for a rainy day OK u wont get much interest but it will all add up and then u will know Ur godfather got u out of trouble

Don't be in a rush to spend it on something foolish- it will be gone before you know it.
I think you should put it with your savings and think about what you want to spend it on. It may be that you don't want to spend it on anything at the moment but something that you will want later in the future.
