I used to ride that edge--drove like a maniac; drove in the Ladies' Race at Leguna Seca sports car race and nearly went off the cliff on the "cork screw" curve. In my 30's I was on the edge of cutting my wrists--but stumbled into the Berkeley Mental Health Agency and started out what was to be years of therapy. Finally decided to live--but not other peoples' lives and direction. I struck out on my own and built a great life!! Got an MA in Guidance and Counseling, worked with very troubled adolescents for 21 yrs--15 with adolescent young women in a residential psychiatric hospital; and 6 yrs with adolescent guys, 14-19, Dx'd as Severe Bhr Disordered. Most of the young women WERE ALSO riding that edge of self-destruction. What I'm saying is that I hope your plans are built on Adventurism--not self destruction!! Good Luck!

An obvious answer would be the military. However, high combat areas in the marines are not open to women. If you look around on websites for the military, you may be able to find something that's exciting. Other civilian jobs that are dangerous are paramedics, firefighters (VERY physical), and cops, to name a few. To browse occupations, type in "occupational outlook handbook" into google. It's very comprehensive, and is done by the US department of labor.
