I was born and raised a democrat and as I got older not only did I see what the heck was going on, so did the majority of my family, that is including cousins, aunts and uncles. They along with me cannot stand to see how the democratic party has turned their backs on the American people.

At 18 was when I became a republican but some of the republicans are either RINOs or just as pathetic as a democrat. Although I still think the democratic party is completely lost and had become the appeasing party to immoral and unethical behavior.

When a republican commits a crime or had done something wrong, the dems are on a war path to punish them. I want them held accountable too. When a democrat does something, the dems support them 100% and the republicans don't put up enough fight to hold these people accountable.

Sinator Byrd for example, he said the "n" word and still was able to serve. Had a republican said that you can bet your bottom dollar he/she would have been forced out. All the democrats have to do is open their eyes and do their research.

I cannot put my vote to a party that is completely irresponsible and allows unethical behavior including gay/lesbian marriage and abortion. Nor can I put my vote to a party that will not stand up against terrorists.

As a teenager I visited the campaign headquarters in our town for Lyndon Johnson and Barry Goldwater and talked to people in each. I asked questions and made some observations. I read the literature etc. Based on what I learned I decided then. Since then I keep up on which party stands for what and so far, found no reason to switch from my decision then.

My parents were Democrats back in the day when it was a fine party which represented the people. When that changed after the death of JFK I hung on for another 20 years or so and then followed the example of our greatest President, Reagan and moved over to the party that was really representing ALL Americans, the Republicans. Some Democrat voters never have caught on to what has happened to their party.

The Tea social gathering is a flow, no longer a political social gathering. they're in many circumstances Republicans, yet there is a few thing to be reported with regards to the Libertarians. i'd in all possibility register as a Libertarian in the event that they have been extra recognized. Your association is only relevent for a classic election. contained in the primaries, all the Repubs (or dems, and so on.) run against one yet another to return to a decision who will run contained in the final election against the different events. For the final elections in November, you could vote for whoever you %.

I was predestined to be a republican.

Immorality, though I am not immune to it, should never be championed.

My gut tells me so.

EDIT: Yes, I suppose my beliefs are inline with my parents. I never heard a cuss word in my house, never saw pornography, never witnessed a bottle of liquor being brought in. My parents were not outspokenly or, particularly religious, but their standards were for the most part inline with religious teachings.

We had our problems, but for the most part they were not self-induced.

My parents were democrats until the late sixties. I spent my preschool and early school years in the midst of the total anarchy that encapsulated NC at the time: enduring the ramifications of racial riots and witnessing hippies scurrying to dig my left over fries out of trash cans.

From there my family moved to Texas and always watched the nightly news together and discussed each day's events over dinner.

Researched some of the stuff Rush Limabaugh was spewing, when I actually considered him entertaining. When i found the facts did not match his opinion, I have Pretty much come to disregard anything he says as nonsense, and research the facts on all issues I find important.
Because of this, right-winger say that I am lib/dem, so i tend to side with them as long as their view on an issue isn't too silly.
for example:
I tend to side with dem/libs on abortion, for the simple fact that bans create more laws, that someone has to pay to enforce, and I don't believe the govenrment should be involved in reproductive decisions.
on the other hand, I side against them on firearms, because I control mine just fine. gun control is being able to hit what you aim at.

I think it's stupid to pick a party. You should take a stand on the issues, and find the candidate that best represents your issues.

Reading up on law made up my mind. Seeing how both parties work with law really made up my mind.

Take lobbyist, number one reason for this countries problems! Our elected officials do not work for us, they just use us to get elected!

We all know Hillary backs Lobbyist, she said so,

Clinton,NAFTA, bastage,,,

old G Bush, KING OF THE LIERS..

Back slid'n all the way up the hill G Bush?
"History teaches us that underestimating the words of evil, ambitious men is a terrible mistake," Bush said. "Bin Laden and his terrorist allies have made their intentions as clear as Lenin and Hitler before them. And the question is, will we listen?"

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071101/ap_o...

If I am not mistaken, Bin Laden is not a threat to the US. So why on earth would G Bush use him like this?

Just goes to show how much this man is a lier!

Somebody prove me wrong please, come on cons rep, answer the question...

Did he just not lie to the world? To his country? To his fellow man?

Yes or No?

If War Denial is dangerous, then Bin Laden must be a threat! It would be nice if this so called man made up his mind for the better of our troops!

Sorry Bas;lkj;
