Colors that would be professional to wear to an office job are conservative colors.Wear nothing loud. Not red, pink,or purple for a man.Darker colors are more appropriate than lighter colors, although light tan and dark blues are alright.Vests that match are fine but make sure you wear a darker tie.Tie clasps are usually appropriate.Cuff links look fine also.Make sure your pants are neither too long nor too short.Comfort is an important consideration.Suit coats should not extend beyond your pockets. It might even be a good idea to glance through men's fashion magazines to see what is current.Magazines such as the "New Yorker" or "Gentleman's Quarterly" are fine examples. If you choose a hat be sure it matches the overall suit.Black shoes and dark socks are better than light socks and shoes. The more conservative your appearance the more serious your clients or audience will believe you are.Remember this Gentleman the world operates more on appearance than reality.More often than not appearance is more imporant than reality as far as the general public is concerned.I hate that but it is a fact.Your Pal larry m

Colors change from season to season. Office colors do not have seasons or change. Never wear to bright of colors, as you will look neon in the florescent lights. Black is a good basic color. blues, greens, beige, tan, khaki, Wear darker colors with light colored blouses,or shells with a suit never wear a shell unless you wear a suit. Always wear sleeves, long or short, no one wants to see your under arms. Match your shoes to your clothes and season. No open toe in the winter. Look as professional as possible, if you work in a semi professional atmosphere, look how every one else is dressed. Never over dress or under dress. Always wear a suit to a interview

hi genTLe m@n....
You should always prefer complete black and then light colors. In black a person always looks decent, so black is compulsory.
But no other dark colors because i feel dark colors have always been regarded as the color of party or occasions.
I think wearing shocking colors like red, shocking pink, purple etc will make you look stupid and others will be able to make a fool out of you....tc...sweet dreamz...bye....

Grey & black are very professional, and can be very stylish too.
Just add a pop of color to your outfit.
An entire outfit in any bright color wouldnt work...
