I have recently fallen out with my friend. Before we fell out I lent her some money, it wasn't very much but to me, £10 is quite abit. About 2 weeks pocket money. Anyway, things between us have gotten very messy an I approached her reminding her about the loan. She told me I wouldn't get it back an it's really upset me as my Grandma gave it me for doing well at school and I don't see why I should let it go to someone is so nasty.
I lent it her on the condition that she would pay it back the following month. Its now been 3 months.
How can I get it back without making things worse than they already are. Help!

In the future...as far as possible avoid lending money.Yes the person has adopted an uncaring attitude regarding repayment of the loan, this is extremely improper.Perhaps try renewing your request to the person, speak privately,be to the point with clarity and maintain patience. If default of payment still is an issue,be no longer involved, walk away...You should never forget this lesson and in future be more careful.

You will not be able to make her do anything. That is a major problem when we loan friends or family money. It is always best to get a written agreement. You could always take her to a small claims court, but I really don't think it is worth the trouble. Just count this as a learning lesson.

the only way you will know is to just ask her. was the 1 month payback a condition you both agreed to? if it was then remind her of this.
only loan the amount of $$$ you can afford to loose.
Chalk this up as life lesson #10

your not gonna get it back...you've learned a lesson...i was told by someone once to lend someone money only when you can afford to give it and never get it back again. and if its a friend then never give them money expecting to get it back..its a great way to ruin a friendship over something stupid..
