You don't have to keep the heat turned up really high. Keep it at 68 degrees and just dress warm. If you are having problems paying your utility bills see about getting assistance. My husband and I, since we have been in our place for more than a year (Almost 4 years actually) are able to pay the average for our power bill because the first winter after we moved in our bill was over $400 for 2 months (Our son was a preemie so we kept our house really warm). We now pay only $147 per month, so it is only half of what we were paying before.

If you did i would be able to help you more ! ....Well i would say if you are putting that many blankets on her she will be fine ..if you are warm she is warm if you are cold she is cold ..so turn the heaters on when you are starting to feel cold ! If you're in Georgia, I'm sure it isn't that cold. I live in CT and have a toddler, and we have used the heat 2 nights so far, that's it. Put on weather-appropriate sleepwear and her blanket and she will be just fine. If it's comfortable for you, it's fine for her, too.

I think the temp should be at least 70, so with that in mind, if it is below that then turn it on.
That is for me though, just go by how you like the temp and make sure baby is warm by touching her skin.

If you're comfortable, the baby's comfortable. If you are not, she is not.
