$150 for set up is probably right. Then $60 for a vet check, $200 for spay or neuter.
You need a cage, litter box, good quality pellets, water bottle or bowl, food bowl, timothy hay, litter (not clumping, wood pellets or yesterday's news are good), toys, a place to hide.

You can build a cage for about $70. www.cavycages.com has good info about building a cage.
Some discount stores have things you can use like bowls, toys and some accessories.

A rabbit is neither low cost or low maintenance. They can live for 10 years and need yearly vet checkups. If you live in England, they need shots.

Never purchase a rabbit for more then 30 dollars unless it is some unbelievable show rabbit. Mine cost 20 and the other 30. My cage cost 20 but was gently used. Buying gently used cages are much cheaper but be careful of their condition. Self feeders and waters are the best and they can range from 5-20 depending on their size, shape, brand. I think the best breed of rabbit is polish. They are second smallest breed and what i own. They are between 3-5 pounds (show weight) calm and loving. Give them attention though! Good Luck!!

ok i got a bunny for $30 at a pet shop and i paid $20-$50 for the cage and $10 for the bunny food and $6 for the dish that gose on the cage and $13 for the water bottel that gose on the cage and $10 for the wood shavens for the bunny to go poo on, so all together you are look at any where from $100-$150 and make sure the cage can last for when it grows and that you put clean water in the water bottel evry day or evr7y other day and make sure he or she has food in the dish and take her or him out to hop around and a some vegges to nip on! good luck.

try a pet rescue centre, you just pay a donation. I have a rabbit who lives indoors and is litter trained, which is very easy to do and gives you a much happier bunny.his special indoor cage cost £70. check what kind of rabbit it is that you`re buying- they can vary greatly in size and you would have to buy a big enough cage. They also are very intelligent and can get really lonely on their own so it`s best to buy two together. If getting male and female get the male neutured first. good luck!

the cage will be the most expensive, they an cost anywere from 70-100+
water bottles are inexpensive usually ranging around 2 dollars
the cost of your rabbit will vary but they're not that expensive, if you get a male, he will need to be nuetered or else he'll spray everything(it smells, you don't want him doing that)
for bedding use a paper based, not wood, it causes problems in the lubgs and early death
