Define "superpowers." To fly, to move things with your mind, to have supreme control over the elements? No, these things commonly seen as superpowers that are seen in comic books and the movies cannot happen. No one can control the weather, or fly without an airplane, or blow something up with their mind. As fun as it would be to think these things are true, it is not.

However, there are people that purport to have mystical, religious "powers." I, for instance, believe Jesus had the power to heal and other such miracles. There are also people that practice the occult that influence reality through channeling their own subconscious through a ritualized format. Influence weather with this? I would say not, it really is little more than a form of prayer and solidifying the personal will to achieve things through ritual. However, would one call them "superpowers?" That would depend on your definition.

Hi, I don't know about superpowers, but i think that some humans can extraordinary things for other humans if they are in trouble, like the man who lifted a car off his friend (the car had fallen on him while he was repairing it) the extra strength came from somewhere.

""Can humans really have superpowers.. if so.. how?""

If this is an exam question, then I would strongly recommend that you try to break-down and define 'super-power'.

Super- : of high or superior quality or performance
-power : see http://www.thefreedictionary.com/power because there are too many to list here.

If this definition is taken to be true, using an individual example from "power", the following is true:

Power: The ability or capacity to perform or act effectively.
Super: of high or superior quality or performance

Therefore, if people have the 'ability to perform or act effectively, to a high or superior quality', then they can be said to have 'super-power'/ superpowers.

Therefore, people can have superpowers - though possibly not to the extremes of superman, for example, it could also apply to the ability to perform to a superior quality in terms of academic / mental 'power'.
