The soft pitter-patter of rain falling onto the soft earth on a tempestuous day, when I'm at home, curled up in my blanket by a warm, cackling fire reading one of my favorite books. I can hear the wind howling softly through the night and the leaves shaking with the greatness of it all... oh, the nights like these spread peace throughout my body, pulsing throughout it, with the rain splattering on the windows and my body feeling safe, secure, knowing that there is a great storm upon my back.

The rain hitting the water. I love to sit out by the creek when it's raining. The creek runs between these giant rocky walls, (if you've ever been to Southern Indiana, you know what I mean), and there's an overhang where you can go underneath and not get wet. It's my favorite place to go.

The roar of the northwind in winter, the sweet song of bird in spring, the slap of a canoe paddle in summer, the trumpet of a flock of geese heading south in the fall.
