Wormholes don't exist. Science fiction writers use them in their tales. Space time can be curved by the gravitational fields of mass, some writers claim that if the curvature is severe enough there could be an intersection where curved space meets, this would cause a pathway to permit easy travel to another part of a galaxy. Imagine the bends of a river almost touching each other, you are in a boat travelling upstream and you have hundreds of miles to go to reach a certain point in the river, but that point may only be a few feet away due to the bending of the river and a small opening may even exist through the river bank, if you discover this opening you merely guide your boat through it, saving you hundreds of miles of travelling. Compare this opening in the river bank to a wormhole in space time.

way back in the dawn of time... okay, maybe not THAT long ago... some Physics type dudes were looking at a problem. They had this experiment to measure 'excitation energy' of a thing-a-ma-jig and it wasn't QUITE behaving. The target was supposed to emit a specific energy of photon when it was struck with a strong enough particle, but the damn thing was emiting once in a while even at lower levels.
the graph of the excitation threshold looked like a camel's hump and one of the dudes said "Hey, they are digging a 'wormhole' through the humpie thing!'

although there is no evidence that wormholes really exist, from what i know i can tell you that a wormhole is a hypothetical tunnel which connects two black holes that are located in different places and possibly times.

No. Worm Holes are the stuff of theoretical physics.
You can rest assured that if you manage to find one and get too close to its event horizon, you ain't a gonna like the consequences.
As you pass through the event horizon, what you recognize as your body and all its organs will be reduced to subatomic particles probably never to be reconstituted as anything you might recognize..

It is the humble abode of the worm. No matter how humble, there's no place like home.
