McDonalds uses it as a driver to bring customers in the store. They know once they get you in that you will probably turn that into a meal. The make there $$$ that way.

Because they want you to get your money's worth 1.00 for a double cheese burger it's a good deal,but if your not as hungry just get a regular cheese burger for under 1.00.
But the other side of it is,they make it cheaper so even the poorest people can get fat!

i think it is weird to i work at mcdonalds its odd i think. i think ours r 89 for a cheeseburger and 1.00 for a double

IDK. They used to do kinda the same thing to their fries. I remember that the small fry on their menu would be $0.99, whereas on the Dollar Menu, a medium fry would be $1.00. i agree with you on the oddities of the menu! =)
