As an American youth, I was exposed to many sports...baseball, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, bowling, cycling, swimming, weightlifting....among so many others. As an adult I learned golf. These days @ 41 playing not so much but I still love to watch sports. That's why I love watching the Olympics both Summer and Winter ..so many sports to choose from and exposure to some I've never seen. I still watch the big 3 here baseball, basketball, football.

I was pretty active in my youth doing Judo....Volleybal ( I've actually been a trainer and referee as well )....Football ( Soccer)
but I guess 99% of boys in Holland play or have played soccer.
And my favorite sport Track and Field Athletics - I made it to the
Dutch finals on the 100 meters, and have been a regional champ in hurdles, long jump and javelin.
I really enjoyed the Decathlon as well, but I was too short
and not bulky enough to reach the very top.
I'm about 5'7, which for a Dutchman makes me a dwarf.
During military service I tore my ankle ligaments ,and had to
give it all up, any further serious accidents and I may never walk again. So now I just enjoy watching all sports.
And playing some very bad chess from time to time.
Have a nice week Moon :)

I played softball for four years in high school, but that was about 5 years ago. I play tennis every now and then, but not consistently.
As far as watching sports, football and tennis are the most entertaining to me. I used to be a hardcore Padres fan (I live in San Diego) back in '97, but it's been years since I've followed them.
Anyway, it's Monday now, so TRY to have a good day. I myself am not a fan of Mondays. I'd rather be in bed still.

I used to play tennis, ride horses, and sailed until I couldn't sail any more. Apart from sailing I always preferred to use my energy to do something useful, like build a fence, build something in my workshop, break in a horse, etc. Never have been much of a spectator, although I can admire the skill of others for ten minutes or so before finding something more satisfying to do. Life's for living, not spectating - even from a mobility scooter! Though watching people just doing ordinary things can be fascinating and educational, I've found, all my life.

I just watch....I like to watch most sports, actually....I guess football (soccer) has always been my favourite sport to watch....but I also enjoy watching cricket, tennis and Formula 1 motor racing on TV....and more recently, I have enjoyed watching baseball on TV when I can.....but they don't show it often here. I listen to a lot of sports coverage on the radio, too....I sometimes prefer it that way.

I play darts, tennis, bowling and softball. But all those things are agonizingly dull to watch. So I watch Football, Baseball, Hockey and Basketball.

Yes I did!!!
Back in the day 1968-69 - 8TH Grade Jr. High -
Played Left Tackle on Offense...
Head Over Center on Defense...{ 1 STRING ON BOTH }
In our home town - local area... We went undefeated and won 1st place in our region...
We also had our first - "SOCK HOP" after the first game to which I very much enjoyed. Reason being - My first date with the first young little gal that I placed my arms around.
And then - Its was all over for me.
I won't bore you with my "chasing skirts" from 8TH Grade through my senior year in high school. Especially when I started playing in the high school band and dated only majorettes during this era....
Thanks - Those were darn good memories that I had.....
