Well, I have a college degree and was making really good money as a nurse, and I actually quit to start dancing (and because I'm boycotting the American healthcare system in every respect). If I worked full time (every night that they're open), I'd make more money as a dancer than I made working as a nurse.

But money depends on the club. My club is pretty swanky. There are a lot of clubs out there that pay under the table and have a low-income clientele - meaning your tips are going to suck.

As a man, he's probably going to get paid less, though. As of right now, stripping, porn and prostitution are areas where the men are generally paid less than the ladies.

I know a lot of folks who danced to get through college, and pretty much none of them regret it. Being a bartender or dealer at a strip club is also a good way to make money, and you don't have to take your clothes off.

Pole dancing he won't make much. All you make are basically tips, How about working at a high end restruant. My brother-in-law got me a waitressing job at his father's high class restruant. Fridays and Saturdays are the best days to work. I made $500 in tips on Friday!

Help him, support him, approach your other friends, show him the alternatives, but make him successful...by duly empowering him.
