Money in only a medium of exchange and it is not dying. It is changing shape. People use their credit cards and pay the credit card bills with checks. The money owed is still calculated the same way and is paid in different ways.
Your hatred of Capitalism is the problem. You have mistaken Capitalism with greed. Although there is a large amount of greed in Capitalism, there are a few other things to it, such as paying a fair price for raw materials and wages. This allows for inflation and the ability of others to buy your products.
Communism failed for a reason. That being the workers saw no reward for doing a better job and quality control went out the window.
I am not saying Capitalism is perfect, but greed is a basic motivator for most people. You just have to look out for your best interests.

What are you talking about? How do you expect society to function without some means of exchange? Try giving up all your money and see how long you survive. If you do survive it will not be by your own virtue, but by mooching off others. Is there any virtue in that? Also what makes you think our age is any different? Primitive cultures traded just like we do, maybe they didn't have currency but it's the same concept. Why would you say Capitalism is the new religion? That makes absolutely no sense at all, capitalism isn't a new idea. That's how our very sucessful economy has functioned for over 200 years. You say the world is dying because of money, yet I ask you tell me how the world would survive without it or some other means of exchange.

Unfortunately we're nowhere near an age where we don't revolve around money. Ur right capitalism is taking over. Everything is about materialism, you need money for everything from education to food to technology and transport. Its so hard that things are so damn expensive now, it makes you worried about how are kids will survive.
In response to the previous post if we didn't have money we'd fall into harder states, i don't feel thats necessarily true. If the worlds economy demand wasn't so high with technology and new laws we'd still be able to live as our parents did. Its like our parents and grandparents say...things were different back then. Capitalism has just made the world a more complex place.

Human beings rely on eachother in order to survive. We need help from other people but we also need to help other people in order to live. Money is a way of making sure that people take back what they give to society. In some cases, admittedly, the handling of money becomes unfair but overall, it is a good thing. So, NO, we are not in an age where we don't need money until each and every human being is self-sufficient alone.

Do you mean don't need money or don't need cash?
The latter is almost true already - probably a great majority of any day's economic transactions are cashless transfers electronically.
As for money itself, it is simply a way to allow individuals to have a shared standard for evaluating the value of like and unlike items and services, so that they can trade.
Not only that, but the trades of agreed upon values can happen across time.
The only real alternative is to have a barter economy where you trade something tangible for something tangible at a specific time and that is it. Kinda like cavemen I think :)

Will probably never happen, but I would like to see the same concept as they have on Star Trek Next Generation. Everybody has all they need, no money involved. Our world has enough of everything to go round!!!!

Actually we probably don't need the "physical" money anymore since we could just compile money amounts in our account and pay for things through computers using a plastic card.

Money and power have always been the main motivators of religion. Capitalism is just another name for Money and power.

yeah, unfortunatley whilst i sort of agree where you are coming from, i think you may have lost your way into some anti thoughts about the world.
whilst its great to have these views, there are still bills to pay at home and products to be bought which, believe it or not, people enjoy.
for instance, i love mcdonalds, im going to disneyland, i love shopping sprees and im good at making money which leads me to say, errr sorry mate, but money makes ones world go round!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately money is our way of life and a necessity. It also fuels the evil greed inside us all. Sucks.
