That all depends. They usually give you antibiotics and it clears up. Definitely go to the doctor.

If you have yellow/funny-smelling discharge, you should definitely look into it. It's probably an infection. Usually the doctor (from my experience) has to examine to make a diagnosis. However, if you are thorough enough in describing your symptoms, the doctor can make the diagnosis without examination and then write up your perscription there.

first of alll, you should not wait if you are in doubt if you have an std. stds can cause infertility, so visit the doctor soon. there is nothing to be embarassed of, he will check your privates and that's it. he has seen lots of this. and he will prescribe you soemthing. smell and change ina ppearance or colour are definetly a sign of std. an infection. go soon. a month delay can make a difference

Dear, yellow does mean infection. Yes she will need to examine you thoroughly. Please go to the doctor. This sounds like more than a yeast infection. I am not sure how sexually active you are or how or if you have more than one sex partner, but you need to be checked for some S.T.D.'s. I hope you have nothing wrong, or at least nothing that medicine won't cure. Please do go to the doctor or at least a women's clinic. Your local health department may even be of help.

Sounds like you are suffering from S.U.I.T.

No not a lawsuit or clothes, S.U.I.T. is an acronym for SOMETHING UP IN THERE which is what you may be suffering from at this time. Somthing Up In There was the leading cause of death in women ages 14-80 so you might wanna go see a doc about that.

It could be a yeast infection which can be treated over the counter. Since you don't know that already, you should see your doctor in case its more serious.
