Does any1 on here appresciate the old school, underground, contemporaries, and mainstream?

I listen to Big Daddy Kane, Prodigy, Aceyalone, and Hurricane Chris.

I'm pretty sure I'm the only person on here who likes both Rakim and 50 cent. Correct me if i'm wrong?

O yeah and **** your evil conscience. The guy thinks Hypnotize and How do u want it are filler tracks he's worse than the kids who think Soulja boy is the best.

Im pretty much all around, I dont really listen to the dance move songs, but I do listen to other mainstream artists and songs.

You mean simultaneously? Because Hurricane Chris shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as BDK. But i listen to and enjoy mainstream, underground, old school etc etc.

Its overly done manufactured mainstream that I think is a bit excessive and unlistenable. I.e. 50 cent. So yeah you may be the only guy who likes Rakim AND 50. Simply because right now they're polar opposites.

What you keep forgetting is that hip hop is universal. I have been listening to hip hop since I was 6, and I am now 32. I grew up on BDK, Eric B and Rakim, Digital Underground,etc. I will always enjoy their music. I still listen to it from time to time. But I also enjoy 50 cent, Hurricane Chris, Soulja Boy, Fabulous,etc. That doesn't make you any better than me. Thanks for voicing your opinion!
