Elodie is a French name. Here in France the last syllable is the stressed one. I don't know how it would be pronounced in English...I was just guessing it would be like melody without the m...

Elodie has to be the best - I've heard of it somewhere, but I can't remember where lol. It's absolutely gorgeous, and much more unique than the others (though they're pretty). You could use the nickname Elle or Ellie too. My second favorite would probably be either Natalie or Natasha - Elodie Natasha would be beautiful.
Rebecca, Melissa, and Ashley are all pretty too, though more blah compared to Elodie.

My favorite on your list is Elodie. I actually love that name, it's really cute and not very popular yet. I also like Ashley, but a lot of people have that name so it's not really my favorite. The same with Melissa, Natasha, and Natalie. I like Rebecca, that's my name=]. If you choose Elodie, you could even do one of those other names as a middle name, like
Elodie Rebecca or Elodie Becca
Elodie Melissa
Elodie Natasha

Elodie is original and very pretty. If not Elodie, I would choose Rebecca or Natasha. Though, if you look at the meanings Elodie is best. Rebecca- snare, Natasha (and Natalie)- born on Christmas day (wait is she due on Christmas? lol), Melissa- Bee, Ashley- from the Ash Tree field, Elodie- wealthy, riches. I choose Elodie!

Elodie is my favorite of those listed, but it's generally NOT said "like Melody without the letter M." A common mistake, but it's technically pronounced ay-lo-DEE (not EL-ah-dee). Both the sounds and general emphasis are actually quite different. Here's a link that might better explain this: http://www.behindthename.com/php/search.php?nmd=n&terms=elodie+melody
Rebecca, Natalie and Natasha are also quite nice, but I'd prefer Elodie (only with the proper pronunciation, however).

I love Elodie! It definitely shines among the rest. Though, I do like Natasha, too.
I know too many girls with the other names. Most were popularly used in the 80s.

I love Elodie! I have a thing for different names, though. I know too many Ashley's, Melissa's and Natalie's. You don't really hear Rebecca anymore though. That's really pretty.
