Both cards are a little out dated, but if you insist on getting one of the two, the 7800 GTX is the better card to go with.

If your looking for something more up-to-date and powerful go with an Nvidia 8 Series (8400,8500,8600,8800)

The 7800 GTX Obviously.

I used to own one but it fried on me. Asus was kind enough to send me a 7900 gtx free because the old one was pulled from production

The higher the manufacturer's model number, the better the performance, as a Rule of Thumb.
