Bulbs have burned out (not likely that both would at the same time).
Switch is bad, or wires have become unplugged.
Fuse is bad.
Wire to the backup lights is broken.
Find, and fix the problem by tracing with a test lamp. Start at the lights and work back to the fuse. In between there you don't have power and you do have power is the problem.
No power at the light, but there is power at the switch, look for a broken wire.
Power into the switch, but not out of the switch, replace the switch.
Power to, but not through the fuse, replace the fuse.

If the bulbs are good, that leaves a switch problem. Pull the cover from the shift linkage and check to see if the switch has moved or is defective. Good luck!
