Lets say you were driving lost out in the mountains and all of a sudden you get snowed in. You sit there for about 3 days waiting for the weather to clear, but it never does. It appears as though nobody is coming to rescue you, and your cell phone has no reception there. You realize that the only chance of survival is to go out and find help on foot. Visibility is so low, you can't even see the sun in the sky. The weather is freezing cold. How do you navigate successfully to saftey without starving or freezing to death?

You always tell people where you are going and what your time table is so that someone will miss you and know where to look for you when the weather clears up again. Especially when blizzards are a possibility. Have water and food with you when weather like that is possible. Have a survival kit. Have blankets for warmth.

Rule #1 Stay with the car. They always find the car first, then the dead bodies of the people who tried to walk out.

If it is freezing and still snowing, you will die trying to walk out, especially during the storm.

There was a massive blizzard in my city last January, and two people were found frozen to death near their car. The irony is that had they stayed in their car, they would almost certainly have been found because they were on a well used road.
In your case, you should just wait. Few blizzards last longer than three days unless you are in Antarctica.

Walk in the direction of the wind. Otherwise its a slow death. You don't know how thick the blizzard is but walking toward the direction the wind is blowing leads you away from the center of the blizzard i guess.
