I'm would like to apply to Cal Poly, it's not my dream school or anything, but I know they have some really great programs there, and it's in a really cool town. I'm applying to 7 different schools, 4 of them are UC's. For the UC's I'm putting down undeclared as my Major, because I haven't completely decided what i want to do (I'm a senior in high school). Unfourtanatley, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo has the policy that you have to declare your major when you apply.

If you go to Cal Poly can you please tell me your major and what you intend to do with that major and if you like that program. Also, please tell me if you like Cal Poly and what you like/ don't like about it. Any information helps!

Why not apply for a major that you're interested in instead of just putting something down? Why not go to a JC to figure out what you want to do?

The reason CP SLO wants you to declare a major is that many programs are impacted.

Cal Poly will give you a great education. It's up to you as an individual make the most of it.

My only knock was that SLO is small town where shops clothes kind of early. If you're used to a big city, then it may seem boring, but you'll be too busy studying. Right?

Cal Poly is an awesome school. It's in a great town, downtown is really close, everybody is extremely friendly. It's close to the beach. The teacher's (all that I've had so far) are very open about helping each individual student's needs. They all have office hours that you can go and stop by if you need help. It's in a really good location. Makes it easy to go to NorCal or SoCal anytime since it's right in the middle. There's TONS to do, lots of clubs. Really, I have no complaints about it. I love it here.

One minor situation is that maximum inn occupancy regulations in California limit rooms to a optimum of four adults. in case you are able to overcome that the main nicely prevalent inn in San Luis Obispo is the Madonna inn. each and every room is diverse, and at one time they provided excursions of the numerous restrooms. (One had a water fall) despite if that's merely too high priced numerous of the foremost chains have inns/inns there.
