Yes, when I lived in the Midwest in this little Pleasantville of a town. There was nothing there but malls and restaurants and perfectly manicured lawns carefully tended by conforming Republicans.

yes, when i lived with my boyfriends parents where there was no buses, i was so trapped. i lived there for 1 and a half years. i had to be dropped off the work every day and go to my boyfriends work after work, and wait like 3 hours before we drove home. it was hell!
