I'm in college and want to do very good and keep a good GPA because I want to be a vet. With that being said I'm getting a labtop this week for school and want to try World of warcraft. I hear this is a very addictive game but can some of you guys play a game but still keep a high gpa, I'm just wondering. Of course my school work comes first. But I want to have some fun as well.

Should I get this game. I have very good control of myself.

Has this been a problem for anyone?

Thanks a lot Ms, you really put it in perspective for me.

Just wanted to see if there were people who could control themselves

I'm a professor, and I play videogames reasonably regularly. I know myself and know that I am capable of prioritizing. It sounds like you, too, have control, so just be aware of the potential for problems, and if you find yourself spending too much time playing, cut back. I do know some people who are obsessed with games and stay up all night gaming, which is obviously not healthy. If you are one of those, I would avoid having the games around at all, but for most of us, it is like having a TV set or a novel in the house. We know when we have free time to play and when that time would be better spent on something else.
