I am pro-choice but personally I would not have one. But it is my opinion and other people are entitled to theirs.
It is interesting to see that when people say "pro-choice" everyone reacts to it as if the only choice these mothers could make is to abort. The whole point of CHOICE is that they choose either way! And I am sure many pro-choice women chose to keep their babies and if they do abort, I am sure it is a hard choice for the most of them and they live with the heavy knowledge the rest of their lives.
But it is their choice to make. And our choice is to let them if we want to live in a democratic state. You cannot have democracy unless you maintain a secular state. This is how the Constitution was set up. It is funny to see how many people would chose the Bible over the Constitution though all that they owe their true blessings to is the secular law of this country. If you disagree, move to Iraq.

So many what if’s and different circumstances to consider which makes the question a hard one to commit to so I would have to go pro-choice. I truly don’t believe that anyone has the right no matter what to make that decision for another and I truly do not believe that there could ever be a law written in such away to cover all the possible circumstances and conditions to such a decision.
Sometimes the law needs to step back.
I have to say abortion was never a choice for me even after having a severely disabled child. The doctors told me that any other children I had would also be disabled… It wasn’t true I had two more children afterwards and they are perfectly fine.

I think that it should be a last resort, i.e. your tried every other way short of 'just say no' to avoid getting knocked up, and even then just because you didn't 'want a kid' it doesn't mean you can't change your plans.
I think you need to ask your self honestly,
Are you mature enough to be responsible for another Life?
Do You have the support of people around you?
Is the Baby Daddy a worthwhile human being(don't be blinded by hopes, and wants) Is he good for more than 'making' a baby?
Can you forgo your own pleasures to bring the child to term, and give him/her up for adoption?
I'm all for 'pro-choice', but you also need to look at the number of choices that you made that led to getting pregnant. and if you set up more road blocks then a Five state manhunt, and Baby still made it though, then perhaps you need to 'suck it up', and realize that He/she beat the odds and deserves a chance, even if not with you.
It's your body to do with as you choose, but Now its a Time-share, and you have to give some credence to what baby deserves, and may well go on to do if given the chance.

I am not totally against abortion. I agree that it should be legal. It's just ashame that the right to abort is abused.
If the pregnancy has been proved that the life of mother or baby is threatened then this would be a reasonable use of abortion. If a rape victim wanted to abort then this would be accepted in my view.
I am a father and have had my potential offspring aborted both before and after my daughter was born. At the age of 14 I was glad that a problem was taken off my hands but at the age of 33 when my partner decided to abort just coz she didn't want any more children then I think that was immoral and on the verge of murder and I said that to her. I said ,'you wouldn't murder your living children then why murder my unborn child.'. It was to no avail. She killed my unborn child anyway. I even had to drive her to the hospital. I felt like an accessory. I felt that child kicking in her belly at 12 weeks and then it was gone.
I think it's legal to abort up to about 23 weeks and yet they can deliver and make a baby survive at that stage in pregnancy. I think its disgusting that life can be thrown away on such a whim. Breaks my heart really.
Although I started this answer saying I agree that abortion should be legal I think that if I was to be asked to vote on it then I would vote against abortion unless it went through a court order.

I would avoid it at all costs personally, and I would recommend that to others, but I don't see how it can be anything other than the mother's choice.
That is, I don't see that the state has any right to force a woman to have a child that doesn't want to.
No, I don't believe the pre-born have any rights. I think legally we must have a "bright line" about when an organism has rights, and I think human birth is pretty good.
No, I don't think we should be talking about souls or God's will either. That has no place in a discussion of law that every citizen must abide by regardless of religion.

Abortion should only be done if there is a health problem on the mother or on the fetus.
But if the purpose of abortion is unethical, the unborn baby doesn't deserve to die because it is not his/her fault if there was a conception.
If you are the mother and you compare your life with your unborn baby, just think about it:
Aborting the baby will end the unborn baby's whole life,
but if you let the baby live, NOT ALL of the mother's life will end.
Besides, IF it is the mother's fault, then she should accept her mistakes. However, this does not apply to rape, miscarriages, health problems, etc.
But conception caused by rape should still be considered as not reasonable to undergo abortion because again, it is not the unborn baby's fault.

I think it wrong. I saw someone wrote women can do what they want with their bodies. Once a woman is pregnant it is not just her body she is doing things to. Their is an unborn child's life and body to consider. If a woman doesn't want children she should practice birth control such as the pill and others that exist.

I think that only you can answer that question for yourself.
I think you should have the right to make that decision for yourself and the opportunity to act on that decision, should that mean abortion, birth and adoption, birth and raising.

Who is to say what is best for a RESPONSIBLE individual?
I don't think it should be a constant method of birth control. But if you slip up once, I think its okay. Making a women keep something they don't want is their choice. I just don't like abuse of situations.
