there's just one set of lifters in that car,the problem you may be having with it is the oil pressure isn't high enough to build the lifters up,that's caused by a lot of sludge in the oil pan and the pump is getting stopped up basically it all needs to be removed and cleaned out,that was the major problem with the 2.7 engine, sludge build up,good luck on it.
