My car (Mercedes-Benz, 190E, 2.6, 1991) just cruises. Even if I press the gas paddle completely, it does not seem to have any effect. I had replaced both the gas pumps, when I bought it in 07/'07. Have the gas pumps conked out again within 4 months?
What is the cheaper way to fix this problem?
Any suggestions, help or advice will be really appreciated.

Paddles commonly used in canoes consist of a wooden, fibreglass carbon fiber or metal rod (the shaft) with a handle on one end and a rigid sheet (the blade) on the other end.

you are not very clear about your faults . i think you mean you change the fuel pump . have you check your throttle cabble to see if it has broken ,if it is replace it . if not lift the bonnet check the right hand side of the engine bay where your throttle body and your inlet manifold are check for broken linkages , or splitted pipes or the obvious air leak .hopefully you find the faults
