If defending the Constitution includes all it's parts, Articles and Amendments. Including the Copeland Act and the Abolision of Slavery, 24/7 service would be un Constitutional.

It would be against Federal Law for an employee to work around the clock

And again where in the Constitution does it say 24/7

I'm defending our President here. Many say he takes to many vacations but where in the Oath does it say no vacations allowed.

If you had been warned repeatedly that America was about to be attacked and that the attackers may use planes as weapons what would you have done?

If your answer is go on vacation, I would say you are guilty of criminal negligence of your responsibilities of Commander In Chief.

It isn't slavery, since people volunteer to run for that office, knowing that it's a demanding job.

No one says that presidents should never sleep or never take vacations. (Whoever told you his critics say that was lying to you; you shouldn't believe those people any more, as they are proven liars.)

But Bush takes way too much time off. Though come to think about it, given that when he's working he does nothing good, and tremendous harm, perhaps we'd be better off if he took the rest of the term off.

Slavery is an INVOLUNTARY service...being elected means you CHOSE to take the job.

I don't see any of those whiners complaining about GW's breaks from the grind having the weight of the free world on THIER shoulders, now do ya ?

One more attempt to bash Bush is all that is !

Slavery? He took the job by choice, is paid well for his services, and takes frequent vacations. Doesn't see where any case could be made for slavery.

Politicians accept the responsibilites of office voluntarily. If they can't hack it, they shouldn't run.
