Hmm, I'd have to say I'm going with my gut on this one.
GRACE.
Natural flexibility is no doubt incredible, but keep in mind that with regular stretching anyone can be flexible--grace is something much harder to learn and it is much better to have a natural talent for.
Be warned, though--your grace can't be so out-there it interferes with the teacher's choreography or technique--the dancers may be the pretty performers on stage, but they are really only the puppets for the teacher's production!
:)
EDIT: I admittedly have been told I have grace but don't think so myself.
I go by this theory:
A good dancer can drop into the splits in two seconds.
A great dancer walks toe first, feet pointed out, back straight--all without realizing it.
Gracefullness is great.

Grace. What dancer would I rather watch? Very graceful but not super flexible, or very flexible but not very graceful? I'd say the former.

i would definitely say grace as well. flexibility is always excellent, but with enough stretching, most people can acheive that. grace is a lot more difficult to obtain, and thats what the audience appreciates more. i'd much rather watch a dancer who has that grace, that "it" quality about her, then watch a dancer who can get her leg to 180 degrees, but is bland in her quality and lacking in the emotional part.
grace is what gives dancing such a special and beautiful look, it makes the person really look like a "dancer".

flexibility is a great thing to have but if your doing ballet gracefulness is more important. you don't have to do hard needing flexibility leaps in the dance you can just do turns and other things and still look good, although a 90 degree arabesque would be nice. i have a 90 degree but i cant hold it easily i have gracefulness and not flexibility, if you need to be more flexible go to discountdancesupply.com type in fitness and go to the stretching things look at the reviews and see which one would help you best. if you need gracefulness more go see a ballet like swan lake and when your in class act like you are the swan. if your hands need to be better walk around the house with small balls in your hands all the time to help them get use to that round shape or even in dance class you could bring the balls. subscribe dancespirit its a great dance magazine.

I think grace. Think about when you start learning ballet at the barre for example. Let's say you're learning develope, its always preferred to have a lower leg with beautiful form than having your leg by your ears with no technique. Graceful presentation can not only cover up a flaw in technique but can actually enhance it. We always joke in ballet that even if you don't get the adage, "just dance it". Look beautifal and like you love what you do, and the flexibility can be attended to as you go.

GRACE
grace is the thing that helps with lifts, toe touches, leaps, grande botmans, everything to do with dancing! it's great to be flexible but without grace a dancer is nothing!

Grace..you could be flexible as hell & not be graceful, that wouldn't be good. A dancer prides themselves on grace.

first of all it extremely is totally risky to coach your self ballet at residing house you will desire to get heavily harm. and there is no way you could pass en pointe. in case you % to grow to be a ballerina then it extremely is not too previous due. Grace, flexiblity, and power, will in common terms be an income. whilst many dancers in common terms attempt to grow to be extra versatile they ignore approximately power. Then they do no longer seem that facilitates you to hold themselves up for the period of a turn because of the fact of thier flexibility. You form of have a ballet physique yet no longer completly. What it is is a small head, long neck, long legs and palms, short torso, intense arched feet and instep, and a gaggle of different stuff. And no you're no longer too previous. on account which you have already got somewhat of coaching what I recommend you do is take a private type. because of the fact a newbie type would desire to be too basic and an intermediate too no longer basic. yet only capture as much as the intermediate point after which you're able to do ordinary training.
