Did you get the shot within 72 hours of your miscarriage? If so this is not the cause. Call your doctor. I had 3 miscarriages before having my son and I always had red spotting. I started spotting at 8 weeks with my daughter, but everything was fine. I also had dark spotting with my son at 8 weeks. Get in for an ultra sound. If they see a heartbeat ask them to check your progesterone levels. There are treatments if they are too low.

Technically the person who said that it shouldn't have anything to do with the RH factor at this point would be correct except that you did have a miscarriage and if the previous baby was RH+ it could effect this baby. You can actually have one baby that is RH+ without any problems. The problems arises with the second baby. I would call your doctor and ask about the RhoGAM. It could also be that there is something wrong and you may miscarry again no matter what. I know you don't want to hear that. Usually brown discharge isn't too much to worry about. Did you just have a vaginal exam or vaginal ultrasound? If so I wouldn't worry about it too much, but it is always good to call your doc just to be on the safe side. That is what they are there for. I am actually surprised the doc isn't following you more closely with a history of miscarriage. Good luck. Hopefully everything is just fine.

I was Rh- aswell and at any sign of bleeding I went and got myself my RhoGam shot. If my doctor never felt it was necessary than that was it but I still called to make sure and to settle myself.

Go get the shot. I am negative and my boyfriend is positive. You are supposed to get the shot while you are pregnant and right after you give birth. If you don't for your first baby then your chances of carrying another to term are lessened. I got my shot with my first child at 6 months. With my daughter (2nd child) I had to get it at three months because my body started to reject her. You have to get it during and after pregnancy with all of your kids or your body will start attacking your babies sooner and sooner in the pregnancies.

I think your doctor will be the best person to answer this. Your doctor will do a blood test in early pregnancy to see if you already carry the antibodies from an earlier miscarriage/pregnancy etc. You might already have done this during your first prenatal visit to your doctor.
Call up your doctor and ask.
