Enrique is a good name for a boy, I like that. But I agree that Angel may not be a good choice for a middle name. It's a little feminine. What about Alejandro? Enrique Alejandro Torres is a powerful name.
I personally like Mekayla, however, it is getting extremely popular. If you love the name, spelling it differently like you are may be the way to go. I've seen it spelled Makayla way too many times.
I also love the name of your other child, Liandra. That's beautiful!
And Nikki - not everyone is of american culture and likes american plain-jane names. You should be more respectful.

I think the name you chose for a girl is very pretty. I like the untraditional spelling of Mekayla. I also like that you mixed it up with the traditional Spanish name of Inez. I think Mekayla goes well with Torres but I think Inez and Torres don't work so well because they end in the same sound. It's a weird preference of mine but then again, how often is she going to be saying her full name?
I don't like your husbands choice in names. Enrique is great but I don't think that it goes well with Torres. Maybe he could take your cue and give him a more modern first name with a traditional Spanish middle name.
I don't think that you should change your child's name to make it easier for them to spell when they are first learning. If that were the case everyone should have 3-letter names like Dan or Sam. Those names are great but not for everyone.
Also, let me say that I have known both a boy and a girl named Angel (as their first names.) Neither were made fun of. Angel is actually a traditional Spanish name. It means messenger of God and is listed as both a boy and a girl name on babynames.com.

I'm not sure if Enrique Torres flows nicely, otherwise I like the name. Also I think a boy wouldn't appreciate being named Angel, even if it's only a middle name. :) Mekayla Inez has a nice ring to it, but I don't really like Mekayla as a name. sorry. It's one of those exotic, 'unique' choices that fail to leave an impression since they're so bland. I think I'd remember your daughter having an unusual name, but not the name itself. Inez I like much better, it would make a lovely first name as well.

Enrique is alright for a boy but I can't stand the name Mekayla. It's way too common and I think it's ugly.
Here are some websites that should help you out:

In case you like Spanish names (since your husband likes Enrique):

Congrats on the baby and good luck!

first to Nikki: Since when is there a right or wrong way to spell a name? I think the spelling is just fine, and can you please define normal for me. My sons name is Jaymz(james) its a common name just not spelled the common way, but he likes his name and could pronounce it and spell it by the time he left JK. There is no such a thing as normal anymore in this world.
I think both names you have chosen for your baby are beautiful maybe switch them around if you can agree to it to make
Enrique Inez Torres and Mekayla Angel Torres. They are both wonderful names and congratulations on your pregnancy i hope you have a happy healthy baby!

Torres means Bull in Spanish? why not call him Ndlovu Torres. Ndlovu means elephant in Xhosa. Xhosa is a language spoken by one of the tribes in South Africa. Give him a strong name Elephant Bull (Ndlovu Torres) and he will get far in life, not a sissy name like Angel and Inez is also a girls name

For a girl, Santana or Samantha is pretty and charming I think. For a boy, and you want it to have a sort of accent like Enrique doe, then either Dorian or Esmereldo I guess. Esmee is also a very beautiful name for a girl. Congratulations btw!
