i like to think that every choice we make is a learning opportunity. thats why if we make a bad choice we learn from it so that we dont make the same one again. so i would say no, it doesnt lead you away from the direction you want, rather it reinforces the need to keep going in order to get where you want regardless of past failures.

Not every choice. Sometimes I forget what I am really trying to accomplish in life and I make choices that affect the way I want to live. I know it happens to the best of us but I am really trying to get my act together!

I feel all choices good or bad will ultimately lead you to were you have to be. sometimes its right in front of you and your just over looking it
