That is called advertisement. Advertisement just wanted you to click on it. It does NOT give you free stuff like in the advertisement you're seeing. Instead it gives you spyware.

Spyware is a software that let the creator (it's a human/person, not computer) of the advertisement to see what you are doing in the internet and as well as what you are typing. This is one serious problem if you ever catch one. The creator can see the password you are typing, thus can hack to your account, including your Yahoo account. It's just as bad as virus (in my opinion), which it kind of "destroy" your computer.

To prevent getting a spyware, do not click on any advertisement, nor run, download, install anything from the internet unless you completely trust the website. Also, get a spyware protection like Spy-Bot and scan your computer at least few times a week if you want to be very safe.

Stay safe Sora! ;-)

P.S. When I was little and didn't know much about computer security, I clicked on all the advertisement that sounds interesting to me. So yeah... No wonder I can't log-in to Runescape account. xDDD

Whenever you're reading through your email in-box and you see that an email's title contains a misspelling (such as Gongratulations) or a missing space between words or punctuation marks (such as You won! You're the 999,999th visitor!), it means that whoever sent you that email is careless, sloppy, and up to no good.

Real businesses have people who proof-read the material that they're releasing for public consumption. You should adopt the habit of unceremoniously deleting all emails in your email in-box that have misspellings or other errors in the title.

A mistake in the body of an email is something that perhaps can be forgiven, but a grammatical or typographical mistake in the title of the email indicates that the person sending the email is either just plain stupid or just a plain waste of time.

they aren't necessarily always going to eject a virus into your computer the second you click it but some of them could discreetly plant a virus and crash your computer and eventually lead to some serious problems. anything that says "shoot 10 ducks and win a PS3!!" or "you are the 999, 999th visitor" ,like u said, is probably a virus. the things that say make your own zwinky is probably just an add.. i hope this helped you out!

They are scams- because you have to give them your email and street address to "claim your prize"- which is fake. They send you a ton of spam. Trust me, you don't want that.
