Yep.

Got into collegiate "semi-contact" karate - which after the first 15 seconds of a bout is full-contact karate but with no pads - 'cause no one likes getting hit.

For 3.5 years I never got out of bed without something hurting. Two grade 2 concussions, broken ribs, torn hamstring (cost most of one season), innumerable broken toes and pulled muscles.

Ended up with 3 knee surgeries for cartilage repair and, some 25 years later, a hip replacement most probably related to martial arts.

On the upside I'd do it again. Had a helluva lot of fun as an undergrad, got to be an instructor, met people from dozens of other colleges, and met my wife.

Yes, snapped a tendon in my ankle running down some stairs trying to get to the phone, that was 3 years ago and my ankle is still not right. It was a wrong number too..*@+%^&'s

Also sliced the end of a finger off when I was much much younger by putting it in the back of my mums hair dryer, in the days when they had an actual fan in them. Thats ok now thankfully.

Broke a toe when I was working on a metal cabinet, moved the door and a large metal plate fell on my toe, stupidly I wsnt wearing safety boots. Better now and always wear steel toe caps when working. lesson learnt.........

Fell off a moped trying to avoid a dog when I was 16, broke a bone in my ankle, off work for a month, couldn't walk.

Been lucky really thats about it.

Yes, I have injured myself many times. As a child mostly.

I had motorcycles, horses and played a lot of sports. Also, when I was very young I had a bone disease that created a brittleness to my bones. Had several bones broken before they knew about it and as a result I had to limit activity. But I made up for it in my teens, wrecked the bike many times and got thrown from the horse. Got back on both of them as soon as the casts were taken off though.

Peace.

Yep, was pulling a tray of chicken out of the oven and accidentally spilled some oil off the side onto my arm. Not thinking, I wiped it off with a rag and took a layer of skin with it.

Ended up having to take two weeks off work for that one. Stupid mistake.

I have about a hundred times I was camping and i went down this steep gravel road, on foot and got sliding and i just picked up speed and fell on my face and elbows, I skinned both elbows and had to get first aid. about 3 weeks later one elbow started hurting again and I peeled back the scab and there was a tiny rock still stuck in there, it turned green.

yes.

i cut my knuckle with a razor blade. i pretty much dissected my finger. i cut my skin all the way until the muscle. if you pulled it open you could see the muscle underneath, and the vein laying across. then i cut the vein. oh boy the blood gushed. and squirted all over my face. and on the mirror( i was in the bathroom). yeah it looked like a murder scene.

but im not a cutter. that was the only time i cut.

It was really stupid, but I cut off the tip of a finger trying to cut meat off a leftover turkey thigh. I was holding it upright with one hand and had to grip it tightly because it had that jelly-like stuff on it. With my other hand I was pressing hard on the knife to get through a particularly tough bit. The knife made it through and the pressure kept it going all the way through the tip of my finger.

Only last week actually..and i was really embarrassed!
I auditioned for "Britain's got talent". When i was waiting for my turn to do my audition,(sing,) there was a lady in the room in front of me and we could hear her singing. well when she came out and it was my turn to go in and sing every 1 said "well done" to her and she left. I went in and done my singing, then when i came out of the room every one outside started clapping and whistling,well...I was so embarrassed my face went bright red and i wanted to make a quick exit,so i started to hurry off,the next thing i knew i was laying on the floor with my legs going up 4 steps. I had not seen the stairs in my haste to get away that i fell down them and somehow landed on my head. i hurt my neck a little. But worst of all i was wearing a dress and every one saw my nickers.

When I was getting in the car I accidentally hit my eye on the corner of the car window. I had a big black eye and nobody would believe my story!
