A while ago the porn bots found a home on the Yahoo chat lines...that venue finally had to be taken off line until the porn people could be dealt with. This venue seem to have attracted ditto-heads. I doubt if anything can be done about that without getting involved in 'free speech'. My sense of this is that after awhile there will be no real questions that require thought...just ditto-head propaganda and leading questions centered on some sin committed by the 'liberal' strawman. Any ideas on thoughts on this subject?

Personally I like seeing the wing nuts on either end of the political spectrum making fools of themselves. My views though they may have a liberal slant lay somewhere in the middle.

First, "this venue" is Yahoo Answers; Politics is one category.

Yes, there are a lot of really retarded non-questions from the ditto-head crowd; and a few from the left. But there are also real questions.

If you're unfamiliar with the Guidelines, you should read them; notice that hate speech, insulting other participants, and posting statements as questions are all violations and should be reported.

For things that aren't really violations, either respond or ignore them.

If you get burned out on this category, there are many others on this site; many with a lot of really interesting questions that require thought to answer.

All of the controversial categories have their trolls and their questions that have been asked gazillions of times; it's easier to avoid burnout if you spend time in more than one category.

TO: ugotthat. You are the epitome of "american hypocracy and stupidity" (your words). The preview button is more than a step to posting your rant.
It's intended to be used to read your words, and make corrections.

I find it astounding that one person can take both sides of issues in one statement. According to you, nothing is open to discussion,it's only drivel.

Using your example: Senator Craig,he may be all you say. BUT he did vote for family values and against gay agenda's. In the final analysis he did the right thing. That's only one example, i'm not wasting my time with the rest.

Instead of complaining and surrendering, why not take action to fight back against that which you think is wrong.

You chastize Mr. Bush for having other countries hating us. Here's a news flash for you..Mr. Bush had the guts to do what every Country was afraid to do. After the sanctimonious Congress, former Presidents(who's tenures left alot to desire, and their part leading up to the situation at hand) and a VP who claims to be the father of all things, all the other pc's that trashed Mr.Bush,is there any wonder that some countries piled on too. They also had to protect their dirty little secrets. I notice with ephoric satisfaction that some of the biggest one are no longer in office.

Enough...I've more than made my point...

Your question is the epitomy of what I find strange about America:
The United States consumes more porn and drugs than any other country yet we spend more time and energy fighting it.
Unless I'm mistaken and the same 10 guys are doing it we have alot of "conservatives" using and abusing and at the same time condemning it. Look at that "fine upright" Congresman Larry "I'm not Gay"Craig. The jerk gets arrested and pleads guilty to trying to pick up a man in an Airport and yet he votes for family values and anti-gay crap. There are several more lying cheating gay porn watching coke snorting elected officials and everyday people out there spouting family values and traditions. Whose values? I don't know obviously not theirs.
I think it's time America puts childish crap aside and focus on important stuff:
The dollar isn't worth 2 cents. Bush is obviously lying about the economy doing well and the stock market and foreign investors agree. In a good economy interest rate cuts are unnecessary.
We have a moron president who has created more enemies than we have ever had.
We have an ineffective FDA that allows drug companies to peddle junk drugs at high prices as well as tainted food with recalls on both every time I turn around.
We complain about illegal aliens but cheerfully love the cheap labor.
We don't bother to talk to their respective countries about problems there and ultimately keeping their citizens home.
Americans moan and groan about gas prices but buy the biggest damn car truck we can find.
Both democrats and republicans are arguing about "safe subjects" with one side saying "I'm for it" with the other "I'm against it" In my opinion both sides are doing this for the hell of it and no other reason that makes sense.

Porn is the least of our concern turn the damn PC off or don't watch it. There are lots of filters available to block it. Obviously enough people are buying porn and drugs to make it worth producing. So give us a damn break with the "Holier than thou" junk. JEEZ!!

It has lost its appeal to me. I'm tired of the same old rants that I feel have no relevance or truth to them. I am not even tempted to answer them anymore. There isn't any point.

The political questions are often attacks instead of any desire at finding out the basis of opposing opinions. Some people have literally closed their minds and become conspiracy theorists with the objective of showing their love of their country by telling others their opinions reveal to them that they hate it. Huge turnoff and very undemocratic.
