Yes - especially over in the politics section.It's not uncommon to receive a minimum of 5 thumbs down in those hot button topics. I understand people are entitled to their opinions - but I think some of the thumbs down are given just to be spiteful.
People should own up to it.

Doesn't matter to me. I just check my starred questions to see if a contact or friend did it for best answer.
