You could try using an Anti-Virus program such as Norton or Symantec, but they may not be able to fix it. I would recommend formatting the hard drive and reinstalling your operating system. If you're getting viruses there's probably more things going on that you're not seeing. Back up anything important and start over. It will take some time, but that's going to give you the best result.

are you sure its a virus and not someone that's hacked into your pc, when is this happening, what r u doing on your pc when this happens

i use to play a first person-shooter / online game in real time with other people from around the world, ironically some people on the game new of a code that they put in, and it would open and close the other players cd drive,

find out what process is doing it. Ctrl Del Alt will bring up the processes currently running on your machine. Check each one on google to find out if it is a virus, then remove it from the registry to stop it running.

Purchase a good anti virus/spyware suite and hope for the best.

Find a good antivirus program, like Norton, Symantec, etc. Install it, GET THE UPDATES, and schedule it to run daily.
