I say leave the man alone. Someone said he is just doing his job. Yeah that may be true, but apparently you never watch the show. He tries planting a seed in them that although they are being arrested and doing bad, they have in them to do good and change there lives.

I am so sick and tired of white people getting blasted for using the N word, yet blacks can use it repeatedly. They can call me or whoever a cracker, or honkey, and its no big deal. If I don't want to be called a honky or cracker, I don't call myself or friends that. Maybe they need to grow up. Especially the Rev (cough) Al.

i do no longer think of that he's anymore racist, then all and sundry else, who has accomplished time, worked with criminals, dealt with existence. I, as a white lady living in between the main important African-American cities interior the international, can quite say I hear the N word a minimum of 50 circumstances an afternoon, and this isn't any longer white human beings asserting it. If the African-American community have not got any know for using the awareness, how dare they ***** whilst different races of persons say it. I dated a black guy, who mentioned his "persons" as ****** everyday. i think of that a private verbal exchange, is that, inner maximum and no one Else's organization. the place is his son's loyalty besides. i think of that's a everyday mess, and that i in my opinion could desire to care much less despite if his teach is canceled or no longer. I under no circumstances watch it. this remains in the mean time united statesa., and we as individuals have each and every precise to have evaluations, and freedom of speech. truthfully in step with hazard I could desire to call the click, simply by fact i grew to become into referred to as a Cracker the former day by a black lady! we are in extreme difficulty as a rustic, in step with hazard we could desire to constantly all merely pass on, enhance our families, and attempt to come across peace with one yet another.

i am sick in tired of the left wing majority in this country thinking that they can tell ppl how to talk . this was a private conversation btwn dog and his junkie crackhead son . He has stood by this boy and yet this is how his junkie son treats him . Says something about the type of father he is does 'nt it ?I would have dumped this boy a long time ago . if you are going to take dog off the air waves then take all the rappers off the airwaves !!! I have heard far worse on rapper songs than anything dog has ever said . Wake up ppl and wake up A&E stop having jelly for backbones . This is america and freedom of speech not russia where they dont have anything to say !!!! Wake up A&E nobody liked your crappy station anyway let us see how long you stay on the air without dogs show !!!

Tucker Chapman taped his father's rant illegally. However repulsive and morally inept the content, I think the National Enquirer should also be held in some form of accountability since the recording was released and obtained in an illegal manner. I think Mr. Chapman needs to seek help with his racial demons. He needs to be held accountable for his actions, as does the son. As far as the show's cancellation....I think there needs to be some industry standard. As of late, they have been losing their jobs. You can't fire one and not the others.

It confounds me that in this day and age that skin color is still an issue. As a white woman who lives in the south, it's time that people eradicate their prejudices and appreciate everyone's differences as beauty. Ignorance cannot be blamed anymore. Everyone knows it's wrong. Those who choose to speak in such disrespectful, derogatory, and hateful manners deserve to lose the format in which they speak when given a public forum. Free speech is no longer a freedom when it impinges others' freedoms. Hate should not be tolerated, and those who are complacent about it are as much part of the problem as those who commit it.

I am really angry and will not support the advertisers that pulled their support either.... Yum Inc. (taco bell, KFC, Long John Silvers).

His son taped a private conversation and sold it for money to support his crack habit.

Also, the word he used... according to the dictionary pertains to a person's character and not race... so both of them fall into that category.

No more A&E TV for me until they bring Dog back.

To the chickie poo who called them "white trash", what makes this comment any different than what Duane Chapman said? Am I "white trash" because I enjoy his show?

He has probably done more good than you and your petty little, small minded self will ever do in your life.

I guess you watch "The Hills" and the "Whore Wives of Orange County." Where material objects mean more than helping people.

I don't think it is fair that Dog is getting all this bad press over a private conversation, and suffering consequences with regards to his show. Ok, he said something that was wrong, but he said it in the heat of the moment, which a lot of us are guilty to some degree, and he has apologised publicly for this behaviour. I don't think it right that he is getting vilified for it when there are other celebrities out there who have done much worse, but are still being hero worshipped by the media etc. It's about time that they gave the guy a break, and let him have his life back.

Freedom of Speech is still a part of the American Constitution, although there is a "politically correct" crowd that tries to dictate correct speech. In addition, the comment was made in a private conversation. Tape recording a telephone conversation without permission is illegal in many, if not most, parts of the country.

I was a freedom rider in the 60's and have many black friends. We use the word ****** among ourselves regularly in jest, but if one of our private conversations got released, I would be the one blasted because I am not black.

Since 1999 I have headed up a group that deals with abuse of children...ALL children regardless of color or ethnicity...in our schools. I met with one of Al Sharpton's designees in 2003 to get support. He wasn't interested. For him to get involved it has to be in the headlines.

Same thing with California elected officials Richard Alarcon, Cruz Bustemante, Carol Liu, Jack Scott, Wendy Gruel (all of whom I met with personally) and Kevin McCarthy, LA Mayor Villaraegosa, Congresswoman Maxine Waters and others who ignore illegal activities in schools for political reasons. Who do you think is more obscene?

I agree. I've watched the show sporadically, but the Rev. Al needs to get a life and keep out of people's private conversations. I'm sure HE's said a LOT worse in private.

People talk about the Chapman`s like they`re doing some great public service when in reality they are only doing their jobs and assuring that they get their money they laid out for the bonds. It was the same for that Mexican kidnapping. Yes he caught Andrew Lister but he went to Mexico to get the huge reward offered for him and broke Mexican laws in doing so. Once again only to line his pockets. If he was so afraid of people taping him saying that vile word why didn`t he just stop using it altogether?

i think that A&E are doing the right thing. So what if it was a private conversation. It's a stupid, nasty, derogotory word. I remember an episode were his wife was called a bi@ch and he went off. If he can get mad about that, then i can get mad about this
