I am not a teen but I grew up in a house with smokers. I hated it. I left my bed room door shut and allowed no smoking inside. After shower I would run there to hopefully pick up none of the smell, but I am sure I reeked. Back then they still had smoking areas in high schools and I avoided that like it was plagued. I do not smoke as an adult. I never had even the desire. I have been playing music for over 20 years now and still play a great many gigs in bars. I have a mild form of asthma that I am sure is from years of breathing others smoke. I feel for you kid. Good luck

My parent are both oral surgeons and they do not smoke. I have 5 siblings and my parents showed us pictures and talked to us about the effects of smoking. Yes, cancer is the main one. My parents have treated adults and adolescents who have smoked. The gums turn brown, and can eventually begin to wear away. My dad has treated many an adult who have damaged their enamel beyond repair. Feel free to email and I can send you some of the brochures my parents use to explain to patients why smoking is wrong. Your parents are also effecting you. You are dealing with second hand smoke. As a teenager, second hand smoke can affect growth and also increase chances of lung cancer. Talk with your parents about it. Let them know that you love them and don't want to see them in any condition that is caused by their nasty habit.

No. Both of them dont and thats a good thing because I thinks is sick and nasty. I mean people that do smell, their teeth are not good, and when you kiss them its like kissing a ashtray. I mean since yours do I am not saying they smell and all that just the people I have been around. so sorry if you think that.

No. But I think if it bugs you enough you should be able to talk to them about it. If they cared they would do something, like not smoke around you or even quit.

uggh my mom does and i HATE it. she never smokes around me but she does in the garage and whenever someone open or closes the door i can smell it, its so disgusting i have to cover my nose for like 5 minutes. i've tried throwing out her cigarettes and lighters but she just goes out and buys more. i've tried for years to get her to quit but now i'm like whatever. it annoys me when i smell smoke in the house cause if she wants to kill herself with smoke, fine but i don't want to die of secondhand. i don't even want to be around her when she does smoke cause of the stench

Yeah, they used to smoke cigarettes, but now they've upgraded to cigars.
