Who has been filling you full of these falsehoods? I know of no Democrat who hates this country! Because it is a free country and there is freedom of speech we can and do speak out against a political leader that we believe is leading our country to ruin. Our country is made up of people from many religions or no religion at all. Most of us believe that any one religion should not be at the forefront in any school because it is not necessarily better than the others. That is another freedom we have. Get religious training at the place of worship--not in the schools. It is a matter of choice which every citizen has.

Please know that we are free to pick and choose our leaders who are supposed to preserve and protect our
constitution. Many believe that this is not happening with this political administration and since they do not represent the majority of the people we object! Democrats don't hate the country but they do dislike the way it is being ran at this time. That is another freedom we Americans have. I personally do not support this president or this administration and I am heartsick at what is happening to our beautiful country but I will fight anyone who tries to take that freedom of expression away from me. We have elections every 4 years so we can remove a bad leader if we feel we need to do so. That is another freedom. We do not have a dictatorship here. We are supposed to tell our leader what our wishes are. The leaders are NOT supposed to tell us what they want us to believe. Welcome to the United States and be sure to learn about our system of government very early in your stay here. Do not take just the word of the ones you know now. Get out and discover what other people believe also before you make up your mind to believe a biased point of view.

First keep in mind half of the people feel that GW Bush stole the 2000 election. Our supreme court decided who became president in 2000!
Then he ignored Americas national security until after we were attacked on 9/11/2001.
Bush received a warning that Bin Laden wanted to attack America here a month before the attack.
Zacarious Moussaoui the 20th hijacker was arrested and in the governments custody for weeks before the attack.
The FBI HQ in Washington DC denied FISA warrants that obstucted terrorism investigations in the weeks before 911!

The republican controlled government did not start investigating what happened for more then a year after the attack.Only because many citizens rose up did they begin an investigation.
Simply stated by not investigating for more then a year makes the investigation into the attack seem like a cover up!
Include the fact that neither the President nor the vice-president bothered to testify publicly how they protected America before the attack makes it seem like they had something to hide.
One of those freedoms you talk about is the right to question our politicians about their motives.Which our President feels he is above the law!

You must not listen to people who say Democrats do not love their country. NOT TRUE! Just part of all the backbiting that goes on between the political parties. In this country, the Republicans and Democrats fight all the time, make up stories about each other, and accuse the other of not being patriotic if there is a disagreement. Both parties are corrupt! There are Democrats who love and have died for this country and there are Republicans who do the same.

In America, the president is a paid public servant. We have a right to be critical of his job performance and speak out if he does his job poorly. He has not done well on many fronts and continues to do a poor job for the American people in my opinion. My ancestors fought so that I can express my opinion. This makes our country different than any other. We have the right to question and disagree with any politician in America. As far as school prayer, you are right. There should be prayer in American schools. This country was founded by wonderful Christian men who wrote our constitution. Our country has forgotten Who it was that blessed us and prospered us! This is our shame!

a real democrat or republican is a good chief. a majority of those social topics that arise and rigidity politicians right into a nook are a shaggy dog tale. those should be determined by technique of the persons no longer by technique of a authorities. A democrat would maximum in all probability administration the debt and attempt to have a balanced funds and perhaps slightly surplus.

No, we don't hate our country. If you believe that we do then you have been listening to the wrong people. We love our country but it could use some improvement. We have a lot more poverty in the U.S. than in other Western country. Our health care system is the best in the world except for the 40+million who can't afford it or have no insurance. These people would have insurance if they live in any other Western country. The problem with God in school is which God should we pray to? Allah? That wouldn't work real well.

In this country you will hopefully learn to think for yourself and not simply repeat the propaganda that cons spew about Democrats.

I’ve actually been to Bulgaria. The country has a long way to go economically but I understand that the last elections were democratically held elections. Are you claiming otherwise?

Most democrats do not hate America. Most all democrats I know love America and what America stands for. That is why they do not support Bush. Bush has done more to damage our country than any other American president in recent times. Most democrats also do not support prayer in school because they honor and support our constitution which separates religion from government which is one of the things that makes our country so great.

When someone tells you that someone else hates the country, they are saying it to persuade you to hate someone. They might be lying to you, or they might believe it themselves. Freedom of speech is a wonderful thing, but sometimes it means you have to be careful about judging what you are told.

Nobody who is seriously active in any political party is likely to really hate the country. They are investing a lot of effort in trying to make it better. Of course, there are many parties and many different ideas of what would make the country better, and it is often tempting to say very nasty things about someone when you disagree with them.

But loving the country does not require that you support any politician who happens to be in office, even the President. If we are to keep any freedom at all, we must be free to criticize public officials. They work for us, and we are entitled to hold opinions about how well they do their job, and to express those opinions publicly. Take away that freedom, and eventually they will be able to take away all freedom: if they cannot be criticized, they cannot be stopped.

I could say that those who object to criticism of the President want to take away freedom. See? It's very easy to come up with a nasty remark about people who disagree with you. The truth is that I don't think they want to take away freedom at all, but I don't believe they have thought very carefully about the consequences of their position. Of course, they would disagree about that, too! They're free to say what they think, just as I am.

The reason we do not allow organized prayer in public schools is that someone would have to decide how other people would pray. But everyone is free to pray on their own, everywhere including schools, as long as they don't force or pressure others to join in.

Unfortunately, the one freedom that people don't (or shouldn't) have here, and the one they often seem to want, is the freedom to take away freedom from someone else.

First, honey, I question the sincerity of this question. I think it is likely that you want to get Dems to stand up and say, "NO that isn't true!" or you want Republicans to stand up and say "YES they hate America." It could be you just want to start a cat fight because you like to see fur fly.

Second, if your question is sincere, then welcome to the US. The first thing you need to learn is not to listen to every opinion you hear expressed as the gospel truth.

Loving the country is not related to party. One can be totally sincere in patriotism and totally wrong about the best policies for the US in the long run.

Third, are you related to Borat? (Okay that's a joke...something else Americans do a lot.)

The freedoms enjoyed by this country allow for many different opinions to be expressed out loud. Not all Americans are as you describe them.
It is interesting the only word you did not spell correctly was AmeriKa.
Democrats or Republicans. It all turns out to be about the same when all is said and done.
