the exorcist really that scary?
my mom won't watch it because she said she got nightmares for two weeks from it.
also what is the scariest movie you have ever seen.
mine is the descent or the blair witch project.

The exorcist is more psychological than actual horror. The setting also doesn't help with the girl being so young that has to go through these things. It's aged in the years since it's first release. If you ever do get to see it then watch Exorcist III after it and miss out Exorcist II.

I also like The Descent and think it's the greatest non japanese horror film from the last 20 years. I can't name the scariest movie I have seen because I have many films in the past that are good but at my age, nothing scares me anymore.

Miss Melinda, Yes it is ! Hon please don"t do evil. I am a grown Christian man so believe me, scary bloody movies are an open door to the devil. Everything we hear watch or read plants seeds in our hearts. The results can be horrific !

i think it depends who you are....my husband thinks that was the scariest movie he ever saw, just thinking about it creeps him out, but i don't think that it was scary at all....not really sure what the scariest movie i ever saw was, i can't think of a truely scary one
