How is it that the field is so full of people who just do not listen to the voting public .

Yes I want to keep my gun but we should require a waiting period of two weeks on any Gun purchases .
I do not want my money to pay for someone else's abortion .
We need to end the war in Iraq and return the troops home .
SO why is it that the front runners already have the position that we will remain in Iraq . Clearly over 70% of the people want us out and by out they mean today . Not a year or two or in 5 years but now .
This is clearly the position of so many people yet democrats and republicans ignore this and instead just say we will work to reduce troop numbers as soon as it is safe to do so .

Unfortunately if you narrow the field down that much you need to move to the middle like me and just wait until the General Elections and choose whats left.

As long as only wealthy people can run for office these days it seems pretty hopeless for someone who understands the common person to run. I am in a dilemma this year, as usual, trying to figure out where my ballot should go or if I just shouldn't vote at all. Not voting goes against the grain but voting for someone who doesn't represent my views also goes against the grain.

The real problem with your question is that everyone running for President, Rep. or Dumo and even the actor, won their last major election to city hall, the state house, the senate, etc.
So, technically they aren't losers.

that's effortless, McCain is the least which precisely how i might describe him. the different 2 are the worst of losers. they are infantile of their campaigning. My vote is for McCain, he's only the lesser of the three evils.

Stephen Colbert?....and no one WANTS to stay in Iraq. You just can't promise to people that this administration won't wreck things even further to where we seriously have to do major clean-up there...and we have an embassy there we have to protect. I believe every dem. wants to get combat troops out within their first year...but you can't PROMISE it....but yeah....let Stephen RUN!!!

You're right all the political leaders look like a big clump of political mud--no strong leaders--no one listening to the people.

Ron Paul, people can't say anything bad about his policies so they call him names without any justification.
