what are some fractional equations that are hard and are easy for a freshman highschool student to understand....I just need examples....both sides of the equation have to be a variable.....Just examples Pleaseeeeee!!!!!!

ex: 1/4n= (8/4*(2/2*2/1))n

First you should make sure your equation is not ambiguous and could be interpreted in more than one way.

In your example,1/4n is properly understood to be (1/4)n = n/4. If you want it to be 1 / the quantity 4n, it should be written as 1/(4n). The way you have it the variable n would disappear if you divided both sides by n.

The easiest fractional equations are proportions such as:
x/5 = (x-1)/4. A proportion is simply two fractions set equal to each other. You solve them by cross multiplication.
That means that (x)(4) = 5(x-1)
That gives 4x = 5x-5 so x = 5. If a/b = c/d, then ad=bc.

1/(4n) = 2n
Here you can use cross multiplication or just multiply both sides by 4n, getting:
1 = (4n)(2n) = 8n^2
1/8 = n^2
n = +/- sqrt(1/8)
