Dear Cooper I am not trying to be racist I just think the way everyone is acting the uk will have seperate nations, which I am against, and you know there have been a lot of people in Ulster who have fought for us to remain British you might not like that statement but it is a fact of life. But hey I won't fall out with you over it.

voltairef1, "I'm American but shouldn't Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales be separete from Britain?"

No! Britain is the name of an "island". Scotland, Wales and England are all found on the island.

Britain does NOT equal England and never has done!

The only way for Scotland and Wales to be separate from Britain is to physically split the landscape by monumental explosions or something so they break apart.

Northern Ireland is not located in Britain. It is located on the island of Ireland. Northern Ireland is however part of the United Kingdom.

I would certainly respect our differences but what do we actually have in common? I have always felt at ease and more comfortable with the Welsh, Irish and Scots but I'm not sure why. Is it because we have a much slower pace of life, same sense of humour or what? Or is it because we share a Celtic background which even our musical and artistic influences show. My sons are half english and one stays in London. The closer I get to London the more I feel that I'm being pulled into a raging whirlpool. I can't wait to get home to get some quiet and a slower pace of living. Then again, I have cousins in the Yorkshire Dales and I love being there on holiday. It just seems to be the south of England where everything seems to be a mad rush, and they have a totally different lifestyle to the rest of us. You don't get the same feeling in other smaller cities like Edinburgh, Belfast, Cardiff or even York. But to answer the question, I don't think we are being TOO Nationalistic, we are 4 separate nations with different cultures and different histories and I think we should celebrate that.

I am not saying i have anything against Britain or blaming them for the troubles, i am just saying that is what everyone is fighting for . . .why not just let england be england , ireland be ireland and so on!!! just an opinion im sorry if i offend anyone!!!

Please someone tell me why the Americans Continue to think that England all of a sudden has a new NAME!!!!!

Sorry I think we should all value our history and cultures although sadly I believe it a little too late for England thanks to our crappy government and the PC people not allowing us to be English in case it offends people

Why is it OK to be Scottish, Irish or Welsh but not English!!!

I am British as I have a Grandparent from every country in the British Ilse but I was born in England and therefore English but I have respect for my fellow countries and my ancestry
