No, they are no longer made by BMW.

The C1 was unsightly, ungainly, unbalanced, unreliable and unloved - BMW only sold a handful of them to rich eccentrics (the C1 was hideously overpriced for what it was: a cheap scooter with a roof).

It just goes to show that even a company like BMW can get it drastically wrong sometimes.

They were also dangerous, worst thing possible is to be strapped into a bike if it goes for a tumble.

I recall a twit jumping the lights and bashing into the side of my old BMW R80, right where my left leg would have been... My reflexes were better in those days so somehow I jumped up off the bike pegs of the bike and was standing on the seat it when it crunched. Couldn't do that on a C1!

The BMW C1 is not made anymore, however you can probably get one used. There are slightly more practical in so far as you get less wind and rain on you. There is still some confusion over whether you need a helmet.

nope can´t get them anymore and thank god. a bloody death trap. had a locking mechanism for the stand between your legs, basically a long metal bar pointing at your chest perfect for those front end accidents. Stopped making them because they were unsellable, an awful bike in my opinion still see some around, just goes to prove some people will by anything. If you want something like that get a good run of the mill auto and buy a good helmet anf jacket.

The BMW C1 isn't made anymore, but a lot of Chinese companies are selling clones of it.

Here in the US, you can get the Diamo Velux, the Tank Courier, and the Baron convertible to name a few.
Though they are all pretty much crap.

Stopped production after ony two years of manufacture 'cos no-one wanted one. Terribly dangerous in a cross wind, gutless, annoyingly loud, the most stupid pillion idea ever (had to sit outside at the back), how they ever got type approval I don't know. Thank goodness they are history.
Don't buy one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
