I realize people like to hate on the teams who are on top, but lets get real, Ohio State has zero weaknesses. The schedule means nothing, they take care of business week after week, unlike the other National powers (oklahoma lost to a pathetic colarado, LSU to a three loss Auburn, Oregon to a three loss california) The loss to Florida last year means nothing, different team, different time, this years team is unbeatable, they have NFL prospects at every position, including some absolute monsters on defense, they have one of the best coaches in the nation in Tressel, a fantastic kicker, a fantastic punter, a monster at running back, etc. Now, please tell me one thing about Ohio State that would ever make you think that they will lose. Objectivity in answering this question will be rewarded...this should be interesting.

Yes Nomad please keep looking, and when you are done, please list some reasons why this supposed "weak schedule" means Ohio State is not what I say.

hmm...I will give you a couple, and I will try to find which one has them the highest in schedule strength...
Of the three I found, the lowest ranking SOS was 86, and the highest was 46. With an average of 65 between all three.
Do you want me to keep looking?
When they finally play a team that can butt head with them for 60 minutes straight, then I will believe in OSU, but then again, after last year, I thought they would do better in the NCG, so it is so hard to think they have changed that much in one year.
How do you point out reasons against a team that has dominated? But who have you dominated? I think Illinois gives you all a scare next week. Illinois is a team that can and I think will surprise you. And to tell you the truth, it may be the only thing that saves you from Michigan. By playing Michigan after Illinois gives what I think will be a good scare, you will be better prepared.

The loss to Florida last year does not mean nothing. What it means is that Ohio St. has not shown that they are any different this year than they were last year. Look they may be all that you say but so far this year all they have done is what they did last year, roll through a weak Big 10 and soft early season schedule. They need to beat a good team out of the Big 10 in a bowl. We heard all this hype last year Mich. and Ohio St. were by far the best teams in the country, the winner of that game was the national champs. Do you remember what we found out the Big 10 was shown to be very far behind other conferences, so winning that conference really does not prove anything. Beat LSU or Oklahoma or any body not in the "Little 10"

I'm a HUGE OSU fan and I do think they have one main weakness: special teams.
For some strange reason, Hartline returns punts (I think he's awesome at WR and he should stay in that position) and they are constantly playing musical chairs with the kick and punt returners. No wonder people drop balls back there and are confused about where to run...oh! and that's only IF they decide to pick up the ball. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is when everyone stands around and just watches as the ball bounces and rolls to the 4, the 8 or the 2 yard line. It makes the offense work super hard and gives them a long field.
On the other side of special teams, let's all try to forget that kickoff return for a touchdown that Michigan State had in the closing minutes of the game. To me, it looked like no one was even trying. It's not that they don't have speed....they do! Sometimes I wonder if they know how to use it.
I love my Buckeyes and I'm happy about their successes this year, but dang. Special teams have some work to do.

As i stated in another question. Ohio St. is simply being critisized for schedule. Even in years the played a great schedule they recieved the same not #1 material slaps.Every team has its fans with views. Their offense is the only area they are lacking.Their D is great. But say a game vs. Mizzou could they take away enough of Missouris offence to hang with them?Could they outscore Oregon? Kansas?Oklahoma? Thats what it will come down too. Is if they get matched against a high offence team keeping the score down enough to win. LSU in my opinion might be the one team that they could outscore. And im not looking past that Michigan game. Im just pointing out once the score goes above 35 they might have a hard time with any of the teams mentioned. Kansas and Oklahoma hit both sides of the national rankings in OFF. and DEF.! Kansas is actually ranked #2 in both. Not sure how that eqautes, but too be ranked #2 in off. and def. says your not a easy team too beat.
Just enjoy your season man, the games should only get better and the arrugemnts more heated.

Their weakness is the long layoff frm the Michigan game until the bowl game. It is the same for all big ten schools whether they are in a big game or the Motor City bowl. Why not start the season a week later? Have a week off during the season? Play the last game the weekend of Thanksgiving, then they'd all have a better chance. Plus, if these coaches were thoughtful and planned things right they could catch up on studies during the weeks off ;)

Weak schedule. What you're missing is that most of the teams in the SEC could possibly beat the #1 team in the nation on any given day, and that's what you face in the SEC, grinding it out week after week. If Auburn or Arkansas doesn't get you, Bama or Florida will. That's why it's almost impossible to go undefeated in the SEC. Ohio State doesn't know what that's like .... oh wait, yeah they do, they found out last January.

Ohio State has no weaknesses, but to say they're unbeatable is just plain wrong. I've watched every OSU game this year, and I've been highly impressed with this supposed "rebuilding year". The Buckeyes have no weaknesses, but it's not as if they're head and shoulders above everybody else at every position. Do I think they're the best team in the country? Yes. Their defense is maybe the one area where they are close to being head and shoulders above everyone else. We have the speed to play with Oregon, and the the physicality to play with LSU, but it's not like we'll just stroll in and crush them if we played against them.
Edit: Ohio St. has the 118th toughest schedule? Try 32nd.

Kyle....that 32nd ranking includes games yet to be played. See records against future teams.
So far they've played teams with a combined 1 win over .500. Not impressive.
I can't wait to see questions when they lose. And they will lose at least 2x this year.

you must live in your own little world to think these things I hope Ohio State makes it to the national championship game so the could get smashed by LSU, Oregon, or Oklahoma because all those teams could easliy beat Ohio State

Look everyone's knock against Ohio State is their schedule.
Therefore it is impossible to find poor statistics due to the fact they were achieved against the 118th hardest schedule in the nation (according to dpj5.)
Excellent way to compose a question that is difficult to make your Buckeyes look bad though.
