I have an 2006 M35X and I am looking for a after market air filter. Does anyone know if there is one made and if so do you have a manufacture and part number? I have tried Pepboys, Autozone and Craigan but they say there is not one.

JohnPaul has a good point, however, a properly oiled aftermarket filter will not damage your air flow meter. If it's over oiled, then yes, you have the potential for a problem.
As far as filters go, K&N makes a drop in air filter that will fit all infiniti applications. I had one in my G35 coupe, then once I installed my Jackson Racing Pop Charger, I put the K&N into my FX35. It dropped right in.
Read the instructions and follow them properly when you clean and recharge your air filter.

The original air filter will do nicely Infinity performance parts may be available thru NISMO performance. Nice car I reccomend keep it totaly stock and warranty in full effect. If the Air Flow Meter get's dammage from aftermarket air filter that will cost over $600 to replace...
