Well, if you did all of your homework, you really shouldn't have to study much at all. But I would still take a quick glance over my notes and stuff, just to refresh my memory.

When they are coming up (weeks) just read over your notes or make flash cards. Don't do it too much. Just a lilt to get the information running through your head.
Then you need to think about what kind of grade you want. (hopefully an A) so tell yourself this is for my A and other encouraging things.
Try to set up a study group with a couple friends. Have one day be more fun, but then get more serous as the week continues.

Every night read notes/make note cards and study when ever you can. There is a thereoy that you brain learns materials better if you do a Little studding every day. So while your turning on your computer, studding while its loading.

Good Luck!

Too often when I have exams coming up, I usually have 2 or 3 at the same time, in the same week...and I get so stressed out because so much rides on my grades, my GPA, my Financial aide...I mean pay 8,500 a semester to go to school and getting good grades matter because hell, it's too expensive to repeat the classes...and too time consumeing, so I gotta get it right the first time....anyway I so stressed that sometimes I just shut down and do minimal studying....as a way to cope with so much overload....I watch my TiVo shows and read a book....but I always do some studying...you can't drop the ball completely...

There are two choices:

1. Study and do well
2. Don't study and do poorly

In general, the best approach is to keep up with your work throughout the term so that you don't have to study very much right before the exam.

You don't need to study SSSSSSOOOOO meticulously just so you can answer the exams. I am not trying to be boastful, niether do I brag about it, but the only thing you need to have if you don't like studying too much is GOOD COMPREHENSION. Don't memorize all the terms, just understand its meaning, and you can expect an A+ on your paper.

I tried this trick when I was in college... I would dictate my notes onto a tape and when I went to bed at night I would put the earphones on and play it while I was sleeping.... you would be surprised as to how much you retain that way...

but, your exams are a big deal.. so you should be reading over your notes every nite anyway...

I think you are missing the point of higher education. It is learning how to learn. In the work force, you have to function without yielding to distractions. Work through it and prove to yourself you have it. Or you can just fail and blame it on partying.

As much as you don't want to, you should force yourself to. Afterwards you'll feel alot better and won't be as stressed. And, when the exam comes it will seem alot easier and you won't be as nervous.
