I think it should apply to TV news as well as the print media. Can't you just hear the howls of protest from the liberals who control most of TV as well as print new, screaming about having to go head to head with conservative points of views every time they spew their left wing venom?
If the powers-that-be DID try to apply it to all forms of media, it would be cut down immediately!

It is also supposed to apply to television as well. I find it interesting that the govt can restrict freedom of expression on radio and tv but they allow whatever wants to be said in print. The whole 'freedom of expression' that we are supposed to enjoy does not pertain to radio and tv. In that way, we are not much different than China. Remember that Colin Powell's son was a recent Chairman of the FCC ( and caused that whole joke of an event with Janet Jackson ). The FCC is another tool by the govt and corp AMerica to control what is said and believed in this country. Why, when so many people know that the US support of Israel is what is causing all the problems in the mideast, do you never, ever, hear that viewpoint expressed on radio/tv? WHy does television never show the bodybags, the blown up faces, the disabled and contorted bodies or returning soldiers? Or the dead babies and women killed by them under orders from W and Dick and Rumsfeld ( when he was Def Sec)? Control of the media means control of the population - Hitler said it best, "say it loud enough and often enough and the people will believe anything". Sound familiar? All the stories headlining network news are always the same. And the only candidates you hear about have a D or an R after the name, never mind the fact that there are 28 other candidates running for President.

It shouldn't be applied at all. You can't make laws that supersede the Constitution. (Those are called Amendments, and there aren't enough votes to pass one of those.) But politicians much like royalty will do anything to silence that voice of the opposition. (Which if you believe the polls is just a vocal minority.)

Because talk radio is the only broadcast medium not presently controlled by liberals.

It shouldn't. All media should air all sides of all issues. It shouldn't be a law. It should be common decency. Currently the cebate is mostly in the minds of conservative talk radio hosts that feel they are under attack.

It should even be an issue. This is a form of censorship, which is against the first amendment.

Because this makes it easier for the so called liberal minded to shut up the opposition.
