l'm from Scotland, Americans are widely accepted here, l love the way they refer to everything here as quaint and most of them are proud to say they have Scottish roots. They are always friendly although a tad loud from what we are used to.

(US Citizen who travels) many people in foreign countries don't care for US citizens, but like our money. I tend at times to agree with them as I've seen many other US tourists act like demanding, disrespectful ******* to hotel staff etc.
While I love the USA - I admit I have said I'm from Canada before because you tend to get lumped into the US stereo type. I've also had people tell me and my GF that we are the nicest Americans they have dealt with. It's just plain strange.
